Parent/Child Dedication is a small, intimate service lasting no longer than 30 minutes During the ceremony, parents publicly commit to helping their children grow in their faith and to raise them in a homecentered on Jesus Our team welcomes the child and parent (s), prays over each family, and presents some gifts to each childThere are 47 child support agencies across California that establish and enforc e child support and medical support ordersEither parent or any guardian of a child can open a child support case, whether or not there is an existing child support order, and a case is automatically opened when a child receives public assistanceAll case services are handled at this county or regional level andSince child dedication to Christ fundamentally involves parent dedication to Christ, only those parents who have personally trusted in Christ as their Forgiver and who earnestly strive to follow Him as their Leader will be "eligible" to participate in this ceremony If this is true for only one spouse, that spouse may dedicate their child alone and the other spouse is welcome and
